06/17/2007 - Baltimore, MD (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Chris Snyder went 1-for-3 with a home run and a pair of RBI and Chad Tracy drove in the go-ahead run with a single, as Arizona swept Baltimore with a 6-4 victory in the finale of a three-game interleague set at Camden Yards.

Brandon Webb (7-4) went seven innings, giving up seven hits and three runs -- two earned -- while fanning four without a walk. Jose Valverde hurled a scoreless ninth to earn his 22nd save in 25 chances.

Eric Byrnes homered for the Diamondbacks, who have won three straight after dropping six of seven. Conor Jackson added an RBI single.

Chad Bradford (0-4) took the loss, charged with two runs while recording just one out in the eighth inning. Baltimore starter Brian Burres gave up five hits and three runs over seven innings and struck out a career-high nine batters in his longest career outing.

Aubrey Huff singled, scored a run and drove one in for the Orioles, who reside in the AL East cellar courtesy of a season-high eight-game losing streak. Freddie Bynum was 2-for-3 with an RBI double, Corey Patterson added a sacrifice fly and Miguel Tejada also knocked in a run.

Against Bradford in the eighth, Arizona put men on the corners with one out after Orlando Hudson walked and Scott Hairston singled. Jamie Walker entered to face Tracy and gave up the run-scoring single which put the visitors up 4-3. Tracy and Hairston moved up on a wild pitch, then Hairston scored on Brian Roberts' throwing error on Mark Reynolds' ground ball. Chris Ray was brought in and allowed a Snyder sac fly for a 6-3 game.

Nick Markakis doubled to open the bottom of the frame, stole third, and scored on Tejada's ground out which brought the O's within 6-4.

With Valverde on the hill in the ninth, Patterson reached on an error and moved to third on pinch-hitter Jay Payton's double. Kevin Millar fanned swinging and Roberts struck out looking to end the game.

Byrnes' homer to lead off the contest staked the visitors to a 1-0 lead. Snyder added another lead-off shot in the second for a 2-0 game and Jackson's RBI single later in the frame boosted the visitors to a 3-0 advantage.

The O's got two back in the home half of the second. Huff led off with a single, Jay Gibbons doubled, then Patterson's sacrifice fly scored Huff. Bynum followed with an RBI double for a 3-2 game.

Baltimore tied the game on a Huff groundout in the third, and came within a couple feet of going ahead on Alberto Castillo's long fly out to left in the seventh, but Hairston tracked down the ball just in front of the wall.

LaDainian Tomlinson Favorite to be 2007 NFL MVP

With the first NFL preseason game less than two weeks away, it is time to start thinking about football once again at MySportsbook.com. Reigning NFL MVP LaDainian Tomlinson is currently the 5-1 co-favorite to win the award again alongside Super Bowl MVP Peyton Manning.

This shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone after his all out assault on the record books last season. For those suffering from amnesia or were under a rock last football season, all L.T. did last season was set the NFL record for rushing touchdowns (28), total touchdowns (31) and total points scored (186) to go along with his 1815 rushing yards and 508 receiving yards. At 6-1, Tom Brady is next in line which isn’t surprising considering all of the firepower the Pats added over the off-season. With the addition of Randy Moss, Donte Stallworth and Wes Welker; it would be quite difficult for Brady’s numbers not to improve from last years 3529 yards and 24 touchdowns. There appears to be some decent value in Drew Bees at 10-1 considering he probably would have won the award last year if it wasn’t for L.T.’s record breaking season.

There is no reason to think the Saints will come back to earth this season and playing in a weak NFC, they should have as good a shot as any to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. At 15-1, Donovan McNabb could also be worth a look. Remember, many felt he was the MVP of the first half of the season before going down with a season ending injury. Reportedly, he is in great shape and well ahead of schedule to return to form. Also, he could have some added motivation to put up big numbers this season with the Eagles using their first pick in the draft on McNabb’s future successor Kevin Kolb.
