HONOLULU (AP) - Former University of Hawaii quarterback Colt Brennan and two women were seriously injured in a two-car crash on Hawaii's Big Island.

Brennan's agency, Ryan Tollner, issued a statement that said Brennan was transported to Honolulu for further medical treatment after being taken to Kona Community Hospital on Friday. Tollner said Brennan's condition was serious.

Toronto, ON (Sports Network) - British Columbia Lions rookie linebacker Solomon Elimimian was fined an undisclosed amount by the Canadian Football League on Friday. The fine stems from an illegal hit Elimimian put on Edmonton quarterback Ricky Ray in the Lions' 31-28 loss to the Eskimos last Saturday. The 6-foot, 225-pounder out of the University of Hawaii has recorded five sacks, one fumble recovery and 65 tackles this season.

Hawaii went 10-20 and did not qualify for the Western Athletic Conference Tournament this season, Nash's third as head coach.
